Springfield has around 100,000 people. It has a few things going for it, like being the place that invented cashew chicken(seriously), and a Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper(the nectar of the gods) bottler. But, it also has a lot of really dumb things, like the national headquarters of the Assemblies of God church. We're talking serious bigots. We also have innumerable religious colleges and universities, like College of the Ozarks, Evangel University, Baptist Bible College, Central Bible College, and a couple others I can't be bothered remembering.

We have incredible interscholastic competition, ranging from competitive math team to tennis. We're way too involved in foozball and basketball, and not enough in academics.
